The Lowndes Longest Table is more than a community dinner—it’s an opportunity to bring people together across neighborhoods, backgrounds, generations, and experiences to build stronger relationships and a stronger community.
The idea for the Lowndes Longest Table grew out of the work of One Valdosta-Lowndes (OVL) and its Civic Engagement & Leadership pillar. For years, community leaders and residents have shared a common vision of creating more opportunities for meaningful conversations that connect people across the community. As One Valdosta-Lowndes worked to advance the Synergy 2030 community strategy, one message became clear: stronger relationships lead to stronger communities.
Inspired by successful Longest Table events held across the country, OVL and its community partners are bringing that vision to Lowndes County—creating a welcoming space where neighbors can gather around one table, share a meal, exchange ideas, and build lasting connections.
Join us on Sunday, Nov. 15, at 4 p.m. under the James Beck Overpass, Southside Historic District.
