As part of One Valdosta-Lowndes’ Vibrant & Safe Initiative, we’re working alongside residents, community leaders, businesses, and local government to address one of our region’s biggest challenges—housing affordability.
Our participation in 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲 was more than attending a neighborhood celebration. It was an opportunity to listen, learn, and build relationships with the people who know this community best. Their ideas, experiences, and hopes are helping shape the future of the historic Eastside neighborhood.
Guided by recommendations from the Georgia Tech Housing Study, OVL’s Housing Affordability Steering Committee is focused on turning vision into action—from neighborhood revitalization and redevelopment opportunities to improving parks and public spaces and expanding quality housing options.
